However, salmon sales were greatly affected in the 2020 because of the Covid-19. But recently, the reporter learned from Hema supermarket which is a big brand chain supermarket in China that the sales of salmon have surpassed the level before the epidemic, and they have fought a beautiful “turning over”. According to data from the Norwegian Fisheries Agency, Norway exported 18,079 tons of chilled whole salmon to China in the first eight months of 2021, exceeding the total export volume in 2020. In terms of export volume, China has become the world’s third largest market for Norwegian seafood.
So we can image last year and beyond, a large number of salmon displayed beautifully under the illumination of led lights in supermarkets, including the products we made.
