We have recently successfully completed the freezer lighting upgrade project at RT-Mart Jiangdong Store, 寧波. RT-Mart sets stringent requirements for freezer lighting in terms of safety, 安定性, installation convenience, and merchandise display performance. Targeting multiple on-site pain points of the original T8 freezer lamps, we customized a commercial freezer lighting solution featuring anti-drop design, full waterproofing, precision light distribution, and quick installation, which comprehensively optimizes the store operation experience and lighting effects for merchandise display.
Customer’s Original Pain Points
Before renovation, RT-Mart freezers were all fitted with T8 tubes mounted on G13 lamp holders. Prolonged operation in the low-temperature and high-humidity freezer environment exposed notable safety hazards and functional defects, with core issues summarized below:
1. Risk of tube falling off, posing safety hazards
Store staff may easily bump into tubes during routine stock arrangement and shelf adjustment. The loose fixing structure of conventional G13 holders frequently causes tube displacement and drop-out, disrupting daily business and bringing potential safety risks.
2. Water ingress and fogging, short service life
Poor sealing of original lamps allows moisture to penetrate the lamp body easily under large temperature differences and high humidity inside and outside freezers, resulting in lens fogging, oxidation, and short-circuit failure, with high repair rates.
3. Complicated installation and messy wiring
Traditional lamps adopt series wiring, which is time-consuming for installation. 加えて, freezer shelves require frequent height adjustment; series wiring cannot accommodate such dynamic adjustments, leading to messy on-site wiring and difficult maintenance.
4. Dim lighting on the outermost merchandise, poor display effect
Standard T8 tubes lack professional light distribution, with scattered light and improper beam angles. This creates large dark zones on the outer side of goods and cabinet edges, weakening product stereoscopy and resulting in a dull appearance.
5. Severe light decay and uneven brightness
Conventional tubes suffer from obvious light decay after long-term use. Inconsistent brightness across lamps leads to patchy and dim freezer lighting, greatly undermining the store’s visual quality and shopping experience.
Customized Solution by Laidishine
Aligned with RT-Mart’s on-site operational practices and mandatory requirements (retaining high-voltage tube power supply, supporting magnetic quick installation, compatible with shelf height adjustment), we delivered a split optimization solution of shelf lights + top lights, thoroughly addressing existing problems from four dimensions: mechanical structure, 防水, wiring and optics.

The SLK series are low-voltage lights with low power and high luminous efficiency, equipped with magnetic mounting brackets for easy replacement. Installed inside the recess under shelves, they will not be touched during subsequent stock handling.
For wiring harnesses, Laidishine provides 1-to-5 harnesses, cutting installation time by 40%. The setup fully supports shelf height adjustment afterwards and reduces store maintenance costs.
Top Light: T8U Precision Light Distribution Luminaire
To tackle insufficient overall freezer brightness, dim outer edges of goods and poor color rendering, we deployed our self-developed T8 Aurora high-efficiency luminaire. Professional optical design elevates supermarket display quality:
- High color rendering for true color reproduction (Ra＞90): Ultra-high color rendering index accurately restores the natural hues of fresh produce, frozen food and snacks, keeping merchandise bright and vivid to enhance display texture and stimulate customers’ purchase intention.
- 82° precise beam angle to eliminate dark zones: Customized optimized 82° beam angle directs light precisely onto merchandise facades and shelf edges, completely eliminating dark areas along cabinet and shelf rims. Freezer brightness remains uniform with no blind spots.

Project Outcomes & Customer Value
After the freezer lighting renovation at RT-Mart Jiangdong Store, all original pain points, including lamps falling off, 水の浸入, ダークゾーン, uneven brightness and messy wiring, have been fully resolved.
On the equipment side, the IP67 waterproof structure adapts to low-temperature and high-humidity freezer conditions, greatly lowering failure rates. The independent wiring harness and magnetic mounting structure fit daily stock management and shelf adjustment at the store, enabling faster installation and simpler after-service maintenance.
In terms of visual display, high-CRI and precisely distributed lighting make frozen food displays cleaner and more translucent, with an overall upgrade in the visual quality of freezers.
