On December 25 and 26, 2021, Suzhou’s first Hema X member store ushered in the open experience day before opening. Previously, Sam’s Club and Costco had opened stores in Suzhou. This time the Hema X member store entry into Suzhou will once again compete head-on with the top international giants in the “base camp” of the Hema Yangtze River Delta.
As the second growth curve of Hema, Hema X member stores are entering a wave of intensive store openings before the holiday. From December 8, 2021 to January 14, 2022, four Hema X member stores will be opened in Shanghai and Nanjing, Suzhou, setting a record for the fastest membership store opening frequency.
Previously, Hema X member stores focused on superior categories such as fresh food and food. Clothing and other categories have never been laid out in the entire system. However, now Hema X member stores expanded more non-fresh categories.
On the larger basement floor, there are traditional superior categories of Hema such as fruits and vegetables, baked and cooked food, and aquatic products, as well as cereals, oils and non-staple foods, freeze and refrigerated foods, nutrition and health care, alcoholic beverages, snacks, beauty care and many other categories.
We supported our partner, who’s the commercial refrigerator and freezer provider of Hema company, with LED lightings. We hope and believe that our LED lightings for refrigerated or frozen display cabinets can help the supermarket improve their performance and bring consumers a good sense of experience.
